About Napa Valley Equine
Napa Valley Equine is primarily a mobile practice, but we also offer several in-clinic services. We are committed to providing the best possible care for our patients.
Our Mission:
To offer and advocate for the highest level of veterinary medical care for our patients.
About Us
At Napa Valley Equine, we aim to prevent illness and injury, maintain proper health, and improve the quality of life or athletic performance of your horse. We are equipped with state-of-the-art digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy and gastroscopy, class IV laser and shockwave therapies. Our practice also provides acupuncture, dentistry, minor surgical procedures, laboratory services, and much more. Additionally, we are available for after-hours emergency services.
HISTORY
Since the 1950s, the clinic property had been used for agricultural and livestock purposes. Originally known as Napa Valley Veterinary Hospital, which opened in the 1970s, our practice has evolved over the decades from a small mixed animal practice to a larger, equine-focused practice. We now consist of five veterinarians, numerous support staff, and three fully stocked ambulatory vehicles. Napa Valley Equine is currently owned by Dr. Claudia Sonder, Dr. Vanessa G.B. Rood, and Loomis Basin Equine Medical Center, with Megan Van Coutren as a managing partner.
