Megan Van Coutren ~ Office Manager

Megan has been riding and caring for horses since she was six. She has been working in the equine industry since 2005, after graduating from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo, with a B.S. in Animal Science and a Minor in Equine Science. Megan formerly worked as a Large Animal Assistant at Napa Valley Veterinary Hospital, but switched into the Office Manager position at Napa Valley Equine when the small and large practices separated. Megan is married to Jesse Van Coutren and they have two daughters, Iris and Violet. In her free time, Megan enjoys horseback riding, caring for her animals, and spending time with her family and friends. She is also very involved with the Napa Active 20-30 Club.

Robin Martin ~ Large Animal Assistant

Robin started working as a Small Animal Assistant at Napa Valley Veterinary Hospital in 1988, when it was owned by Jim and Patty Latham. She switched over to Large Animal Assisting in 2001. Robin is married to Maury Martin, also a Napa native and they have two children, Arilyn and Tristan. The Martin family is very active in their children's sports and FFA. Other family activities they enjoy include camping, gardening and cooking.



Brittany Barloggi ~ Large Animal Assistant

Brittany has been an avid horse lover since she was a little girl, getting her first horse at 14 was a dream come true. She learned all the basics with this horse and taught her how to run barrels as her senior project in high school. They competed for 4 years in the sport. Brittany then bought her second horse who she plans on running barrels on for years to come. Brittany is a Napa native and graduated from Vintage High School in 2011. She attended a few years of college and knows she wants to work in the large animal veterinary field which is how she ended up here at Napa Valley Equine

Kim Hetrick ~ Large Animal Assistant
Kim had her first pony ride at six months and has been hooked on horses ever since. She has been working as a Large Animal Assistant since 2005. Kim has two Bachelors Degrees from the University of British Columbia; one in Natural Resource Science and one in Forestry. Kim has six horses and although she enjoys all equine disciplines she actively competes in barrel racing.
